BELLIURE was founded in 1953 by Vicente Belliure in Calpe, Alicante, Spain. At first, during the years 1953 to 1974, the firms core business the construction and repair of wooden fishing vessels. More than 150 fishing boats were built, displacing between 70 and 350 Tons, all of them designed inhouse.
1974 was the point of inflexion for Belliure, a year when the shipyard started the building leisure luxury boats, and started buliding boats using GRP. More than 170 boats where built, many of which where sailing boats of LOAs ranging from 30 to 50 feet. These boats where all designed by Peter Ibold and Vicente Belliure himself. These were the golden years of the shipyard when it became a reference in the ship building sector, thanks to building traditionally design boats, excellent finishes and perfect woodwork.
The present range shows the time that has passed in the shipyard gaining the experience of seeking to make excellent boats has paid out. This fact is also proven by all the second hand units in the market that remain perfect. The fact that the prices of used Belliures don't descend, but quite the opposite, shows that they are objectively excellent boats with proven durability.
